High rising Ugandan midfielder Steven Sserwadda earned his senior debut for New York Red Bull Football Club today morning in the US Open Cup
Sserwadda was a second half substitute replacing Brazilian Luquinhas in the 84th minute of play against New York City.
The game was played at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey) with the hosts taking the lead through Scottish Lewis Morgan in the 52th minute while substituted Luquinhas doubled the lead in the 70th minute and Omir Fernandez scored the third goal in the added extra minutes to make it 3-0 for “The Red Bulls Metro”.
New York Redbulls advanced to play on the next level of the cup.
For starters, Serwadda left KCCA FC  a UPL side and  joined New York Red Bull II a feeder club for the New York Red Bulls in July 2021 on a two-year contract. While with the feeder club Sserwadda made 14 appearances.
