The Victoria Pearls emerged victorious and were crowned champions of the 2023 Victoria Series after coming top of all the other five competitors.
The tournament comprised Uganda as the host, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and the UAE.
The Pearls had to play Tanzania today in the finals, but due to the all-day rainy conditions, the game didn’t happen.
The victors, the Pearls, managed to beat all the competitors, starting with a sure win against Rwanda in their first game of the tournament.
The team later clashed with a team that they thought would face them in the finals, which is
United Arab Emirates, registering its third win when they played Tanzania.
The Pearls obtained their fourth and fifth victories in the competition, respectively, due to the games that were not played due to the weather against Kenya and Tanzania, respectively.
With the victory, the Victoria Pearls can confidently compete in the triangular series in Namibia. On Sunday, the team is anticipated to leave for Namibia.
