The Uganda Cricket Association is facing a crisis as several top officials resign, causing turmoil within the organization.The association has today released a statement which also confirms that the Cricket Cranes Head Coach Laurence Mahatlane will not renew his contract.

The Changes At The Uganda Cricket Association
There have been changes at the Uganda Cricket Association at the board level and the secretariat.
The Chairman of the board Michael Nuwagaba has resigned from his position but he will serve until the 16th/10/2023.
At the secretariat level, the CEO Alan Mugume has tendered his resignation and is on notice for three months until 11th/12/2023. He has served as CEO since July 2022 when he replaced Martin Ondeko.
Rita Kibirige who has been serving as the Finance Manager of the association got a new opportunity and left her role early this month.
Uganda Cricket Association has also decided not to renew the contract of the Cricket Cranes Head Coach Laurence Mahatlane, he will leave his role on 31st/10/2023 when his contract runs out.
We would like to assure members of the cricket fraternity, sports lovers, the public, and our stakeholders that there is no crisis at the Uganda Cricket Association. The organisation is only going through a leadership change.
