Kin Kariisa Shines at the January MTN Monthly Tee at Entebbe Club

Kin Karisa has flagged off his new year account on a bounce and envisions 2024 on the course in positive spirits. This was after a spectacular display at the January MTN Monthly Tee golf tournament held at the picturesque Entebbe Club.

Under the radiant sun, a formidable assemble of 173 golf enthusiasts overlooking the lakeside gathered for the attractive MTN Monthly Tee.
In a captivating showcase of golf prowess, Herbert Opolot, playing off handicap 19, emerged the overall champion on 65 nett.

Also, on a near faultless day, was Kin Karisa, the Chief executive officer at Next Media service swinging to a remarkable 75 nett score to conquer Group A for men.
His magical day fittingly rewarded a finely crafted plaque.
Reflecting on his performance, Karisa shared, “I had a splendid round of golf, transitioning from the festive season to the new year. It was truly gratifying to engage in competitive play and secure a place on the podium. I eagerly anticipate more thrilling rounds throughout the year.”
Karisa teamed up with Entebbe Municipality Mayor Fabrice Rulinda, John Basabose, and Evelyn Atukunda during the tournament.
Additional victors included Kirarira Twijukye, seizing Group B with a 68 nett, and Louis Tumukunde, who claimed the top spot in Group C with a score of 66 nett.
In the seniors category (55 plus), Entienne Marin was exceptional finishing with a commanding 74 nett, while Jovia Tugume emerged as the ladies champion with a good looking 71 nett.
Obiga Omia secured the guest category with a noteworthy 69 nett.
Serwano Walusimbi, the Entebbe Club captain, expressed his delight at the impressive turnout during the opening tournament of the year. He looks forward to more outstanding championships, including the prestigious 2024 Uganda Open.
Walusimbi stated, “We witnessed an impressive turnout for the January tournament. As a club, we anticipate substantial upgrades and maintenance of the course facilities as we prepare to host upcoming tournaments, including the highly esteemed Uganda Open.”
The MTN Monthly Tee tournament is a monthly golfing extravaganza hosted at the Entebbe Club throughout the year, culminating in the grand MTN Tee of Tees event held in December.
