Express FC has issued a statement announcing Baker Mbowa as the new head coach of the club on a two-year deal, replacing Alex Isabirye, who left the position after just three months. Mbowa, who has previously coached at Proline FC and Soltilo Bright Stars FC, will be assisted by Augustin Nsumba.
Express are 8th in the UPL having played 19 games and they were also eliminated from the Stanbic Uganda Cup Jinja based side Bul Fc.
Alex Isabirye is currently linked to a new role with the FUFA Big League side Kyetume according to reports. It should be noted that in July 2023, before joining Express FC, Alex Isabirye tendered his resignation at Vipers SC, citing infringement on his role as the main coach at the club he helped win the league.
