Excitement Abounds as 2024 Corporate Games Begin

The spirit of competition and camaraderie took center stage on Sunday, March 10, as the 2024 Corporate Games season kicked off at Dove Stadium, Bishop Cyprian Kihangire SS in Luzira.

The event showcased a diverse array of sports disciplines, fostering an atmosphere charged with vitality and enthusiasm.

Speaking to NBS Sport, Ian Rumanyika, Chairman of Corporate Games Uganda, expressed his anticipation for an even more exhilarating season ahead, stating, “This year promises to be a thrilling journey for all participants, with new challenges and opportunities to excel.”

Victor Akatwijuka, NBS Sport Brand Manager, echoed this sentiment, affirming the station’s unwavering support for Ugandan sports, declaring, “We are thrilled to be part of this exciting endeavor, committed to showcasing the talent and passion within our community.”

Day one witnessed riveting matches, including a draw between NBS Sport and PKF Uganda, St Francis Nsambya’s narrow defeat to State House Uganda with a scoreline of 1-0, and the Uganda Heart Institute’s valiant effort against Uganda Baati, ultimately succumbing 3-0.

The Corporate Games will be held every second Sunday of each month from March to November.
