FUBA has today announced the final teams for both men and women who will play 3×3 basketball in the 2023 African Games in Ghana.
The basketball tournament will happen from March 18 to March 22.
It’s the first time the Silverbacks team will be in this series and this will be the second time they’re using this format at the African Games instead of the usual setup.
Silverbacks team will feature players like Jesse Marvin Okurut and Joel Kayira from UCU Canons who will team up with Peter Obleng from KIU and Duncan Lubwama from JT Jaguars.
Meanwhile for Gazelles, Sheilah Lamunu and Bridget Aber from UCU Lady Canons will play alongside Becky Longom from JKL and Mary Amaniyo from KIU.
The silverbacks is pitted with DR Congo, Burkina Faso, and Togo in the same group and tbe Gazelles will face tough opponents like Nigeria, Togo, and Benin in their pool games.
