Central Schools Rugby League: Namilyango Triumphs U20, SMACK Seizes U17 and U15 Titles

In the grand finale of the Central Schools Premiership League, Namilyango College emerged victorious in the U20 category, while St. Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) dominated the U17 and U15 divisions.

In the U15 category, SMACK demonstrated their prowess with a commanding 19-0 victory over Kings College Budo. Budo reached the U15 finals by defeating Namilyango College 16-13, while SMACK secured their spot with a resounding 44-0 victory over Makerere College.

The U17 final saw SMACK continue their winning streak, defeating Budo 24-3. Budo had advanced to the final after a nail-biting draw against Namilyango College, eventually securing victory on drop goals. SMACK’s journey to the final included a convincing 24-7 win over Makerere College in the semi-finals.

In the highly anticipated U20 final, Namilyango College, also known as the Anchors, showcased their dominance with an outstanding 28-5 victory over SMACK, nicknamed the Eagles. Namilyango’s path to the final included a 21-7 triumph over Budo, while SMACK narrowly edged out Makerere College of School (MACOS) with a 22-20 victory.

This victory marked Namilyango College’s 12th Central Schools Rugby Title, cementing their reputation as a powerhouse in school rugby.
