Jacob Kiplimo has been awarded the title of USPA Nile Special Sports Personality of March 2024. He maintained his senior men’s title at the World Cross Country Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, with an impressive time of 26:09.
Accumulating 265 points, Kiplimo surpassed Charles Kagimu, who earned 245 points, and the Men’s Rugby 7s Cranes, who earned 220 points, while Husna Kobugabi and Gladys Mbabazi secured 180 points.
Charles Kagimu made history as the first Ugandan cyclist to win a continental gold medal in the individual time trial at the African Games in Accra. Husna Kobugabe clinched the women’s doubles gold at the African Games with Gladys Mbabazi and secured a silver in the women’s singles.
The Rugby Cranes remained undefeated across five matches, clinching the men’s 7s gold at the African Games.
