Nkumba University’s football team, the Beach Boys, who recently clinched victory in the highly contested 2024 Pepsi University Football League are set to represent Uganda at the upcoming Africa University Football Championships.
This victory came after the Beach Boys’ remarkable performance in the previous season, where they emerged victorious over Uganda Christian University in the 2023/24 Pepsi University Football League final.
The squad is now gearing up to represent the nation on the continental stage at the Africa University Football Championships in Lagos, Nigeria, scheduled for September.
During their victory celebrations, Vice Chancellor Prof. Lubega Jude, expressed immense pride in the team’s accomplishments, underscoring the university’s steadfast support for athletics and its mission to foster talent development and sportsmanship among its students.
