Buweekula Ssaza, gearing up for the highly anticipated 2024 Buganda Kingdom Masaza Football Cup Tournament, has announced its complete technical lineup in a bid to bolster its chances in the upcoming competition.
The key figures leading the charge include Ibrahim “Uchumi” Kirya, assuming the role of technical director, and Felix Kawooya Ssekabuuza appointed as the head coach. Joining them are David Nnono Ssozi, Louis Figo Kizito, Sadick Sempigi, and Mubarak Kiberu, who will serve as the goalkeeping coach.
The official unveiling of the technical team occurred on April 26th, 2024, at Ndejje Lubugumu. The ceremony, orchestrated by team manager Rajab Ssebulime, marked a significant milestone in Buweekula Ssaza’s preparation for the upcoming tournament.
In statements following the unveiling, Ibrahim “Uchumi” Kirya emphasized the importance of unity and diligent effort, underscoring his track record of success in previous endeavours. Meanwhile, Felix Kawooya Ssekabuuza articulated the team’s ambitious objective of clinching victory in every match en route to claiming the coveted tournament trophy.
Rajab Ssebulime, the team manager, issued a rallying call for support from individuals with ties to Buweekula and well-wishers, urging them to rally behind the team as they embark on their journey towards glory.
Currently, the technical team is diligently assembling the squad, meticulously preparing for the tournament slated to kick off in June 2024. With a blend of seasoned expertise and promising talent, Buweekula Ssaza aims to make a resounding impact on the pitch this season.
Despite their illustrious history, Buweekula Ssaza has yet to etch their name on the Masaza Cup trophy. Their closest brush with victory came in the 2021 season when they clinched the runners-up position, fueling their determination to secure ultimate triumph this time around.
