He expressed his intention to ensure compliance with the legislation to facilitate access to government resources for the federation’s operations.

“I have been following and we have worked on so many things together. I want to ensure that we conform with the new Act so that we can access government resources. By virtue of my position as a legislator, I believe I am more suitable to oversee this process,” remarked Akena.

Akena’s tenure as President of FMU is poised to usher in a new era for motorsports in Uganda, with a focus on regulatory compliance and strategic development aligned with the nation’s evolving sports landscape.
