In a move aimed at maintaining the integrity of the beautiful game, the FUFA Disciplinary Panel has handed down suspensions to three referees for the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
William Oloya, Stephen Kimayo, and Samuel Mbabali have all been sidelined due to incorrect decisions made during recent matches. Kimayo and Mbabali’s mistakes occurred during the NEC FC vs Kitara FC game at MTN-Omondi Stadium on April 4, 2024, while Oloya’s errors took place during the SC Villa vs Mbarara City FC match at Muteesa II Stadium on March 30, 2024.
The suspensions serve as a reminder of the high standards expected of referees in Ugandan football.
