Vivo Energy Uganda has reaffirmed its commitment to Ugandan motorsport by injecting Ugx 300 million into this year’s Shell V-Power Annual Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally. Vivo say this sponsorship package highlights their dedication to talent development, safety promotion, and the growth of motorsport in Uganda.
As part of the partnership, all competitors participating in the rally will receive 100 litres of fuel from Shell Uganda, further solidifying Vivo Energy’s support for the event.
Johan Grobbelaar, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Uganda, expressed pride in the company’s ongoing collaboration with the Federation of Motorsport Uganda. He emphasized the importance of supporting rally drivers’ dreams and enthusiasts nationwide.
Hon. Jimmy Akena, the newly elected President of the Federation of Motorsports Uganda, commended Vivo Energy Uganda for its decade-long support, highlighting its crucial role in the success of motorsport in Uganda.
Vivo Energy also announced the addition of Jas Mangat, a renowned rally driver, to the Shell Uganda Rally team joining rally ace Ronald Sebuguzi who has been part of Team Shell for thirteen consecutive years.
The Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally is scheduled to take place from the 10th to the 12th of May in Jinja, promising an exhilarating showcase of skill and speed in the heart of Uganda.
