The second edition of the retired rugby legends games between Uganda and Kenya veterans is set for next month with the first leg to be played at the King’s Park arena, Bweyogerere.
With focus on strengthening ties amongst former players from both countries, the annual tournament saw Kenya emerge champions last year with games played at Kyadondo and Nairobi.
As part of the retired legends inspired events, the Uganda legends held the inaugural marathon last month that saw over 300 runners take part.
Uganda will host the first outing due 8th June with the date for the return leg set to be confirmed as both teams have commenced training.
Despite fielding a squad of renown veterans for the inaugural fixtures that was captained by veteran Platinum Credit Heathens hooker Alex Mubiru and included Michael Wokorach, Asuman Mugerwa, Timothy Mudoola, Brian Tabaruka among others, the Oscar Osir coached Kenya Nondies ran out 38-6 winners at Kyadondo before they went on to seal the aggregate win in Nairobi.
