Coach Botes Confident Ahead of U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers

Uganda National Women’s Football Head Coach Sheryl Botes is confident in the final squad selected to represent Uganda in the upcoming U17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers against Zambia. The team who have departed for Lusaka, Zambia will play the first leg on Sunday 12th May at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka with kickoff at 1:30pm EAT.

Coach Botes expressed her satisfaction with the team’s preparation, highlighting a spirited friendly match against the Misingi Soccer Academy U15 Boys team as a valuable test of their tactics and skills.

“We’ve had a good run in our preparations, and I’m pleased with the commitment and progress shown by the players,” Coach Botes remarked.

“The friendly match today was particularly beneficial in evaluating our strengths and areas for improvement,” she added.

The Teen Cranes underwent rigorous training under Coach Botes’ guidance during a nine-day residential camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel Kisaasi.
