The FUFA Club Licensing Committee Chairman, Okello Lee, and Club Licensing Manager, Nakagwa Shirah, are currently in attendance at the CAF regional club licensing workshop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The workshop, which includes participants from sixteen African nations, aims to enhance the implementation of CAF Club Licensing regulations across the continent.
Hosted in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the workshop serves as a platform to equip Member Associations with essential tools and knowledge required for effective implementation of CAF Club Licensing regulations.
Key agenda items include updates on the CAF Club Licensing Online Platform (CLOP), reviewing the implementation status, communication of licensing decisions, stadium pre-inspection procedures, and training for Club Licensing Managers (CLM).
Welcoming the participants, Ethiopian Football Federation President, Mr. Esayas Jira, emphasized the significance of such workshops in advancing African football development and fostering a culture of accountability within the sport.
The workshop provides an opportunity for representatives to receive practical training, including a refresher session on stadium pre-inspection procedures and hands-on training in utilizing the CLOP, specifically focusing on the stadium module.
This practical on-site stadium inspection training aims to enhance the capabilities of Club Licensing Managers in ensuring compliance with licensing standards.
This workshop marks another step forward in the journey towards standardized club licensing processes in African football. The final workshop in this series is scheduled to be held in Ghana from May 19 to May 23, 2024, further solidifying the commitment of African football associations to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity within the sport.
