Premier League Trophy Will be Present at Emirates on Sunday

The Premier League trophy will be present at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium on Sunday, regardless of the outcome of tonight’s match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City.

Man City are currently trailing league leaders Arsenal by 1 point, but have played one game less than the Gunners.

However, even if they manage to secure a victory against Spurs tonight, they’ll only be two points above Arsenal, which means that the Premier League champion will be crowned on Sunday, the final matchday of the season, for only the 10th time in the league’s history.

With Man City hosting West Ham and Arsenal welcoming Everton, the two title contenders will be separated by a 198-mile distance, but both still have a chance to lift the prestigious trophy.

To prevent any logistical delays or drama, the Premier League takes proactive measures in such circumstances. Identical ceremonial trophies and 40 player medals will be available at both the Etihad Stadium and the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, according to a source close to the Premier League.

Additionally, each ground will house identical podiums and fireworks, to ensure a seamless title-winning celebration incase one of them wins the title.

The real Premier League trophy, however, will not be engraved with the winner’s name until after the final match. The victorious team will then receive the authentic trophy to keep for the next year, following the conclusion of the celebrations.
