NBS Sport, Uganda’s premier 24/7 sports channel, will broadcast the grand opening of the refurbished Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium live on June 1, 2024.
The highly anticipated event marks the reopening of one of Uganda’s most historic sports venues, now rebranded as Hamz Stadium.
The grand opening promises an array of activities, including a kickboxing match between Umaru Semata and Golola Moses, football matches featuring URA FC vs. Kitara FC and Express FC vs. SC Villa, as well as netball and basketball games. The festivities will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display.

Ticket prices are set at UGX 50,000 for ordinary seating, UGX 100,000 for VIP access, and UGX 150,000 for executive seating.
