NBS Sport to Broadcast Grand Opening of Refurbished Nakivubo Stadium Live

NBS Sport, Uganda’s premier 24/7 sports channel, will broadcast the grand opening of the refurbished Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium live on June 1, 2024.

The highly anticipated event marks the reopening of one of Uganda’s most historic sports venues, now rebranded as Hamz Stadium.

The grand opening promises an array of activities, including a kickboxing match between Umaru Semata and Golola Moses, football matches featuring URA FC vs. Kitara FC and Express FC vs. SC Villa, as well as netball and basketball games. The festivities will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display.

Tickets for the event are available for purchase through the ticketing platform, Next Ticket.

Fans can buy their tickets online via https://nextticket.com or by downloading the Next Ticket app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Ticket prices are set at UGX 50,000 for ordinary seating, UGX 100,000 for VIP access, and UGX 150,000 for executive seating.

NBS Sport’s live coverage will ensure that those unable to attend in person can still experience the excitement and pageantry of the grand opening from the comfort of their homes.

The refurbishment of Nakivubo Stadium is a significant milestone for Ugandan sports, aiming to provide state-of-the-art facilities for athletes and fans alike.
