Paul Mucureezi has announced his departure from Kitara Football Club, marking the upcoming Stanbic Uganda Cup final as his last game with the club.
Mucureezi, who joined Kitara in January 2023, played a pivotal role in the team’s promotion to the top flight and their victory in the Big League title that year.
During his tenure at Kitara, Mucureezi has been a key player, contributing significantly to the club’s Uganda Premier League campaign. His efforts helped Kitara stay in contention for the League title until the final day of the season.
Reflecting on his time at the club, Mucureezi expressed gratitude to the fans and shared his ambitions for the final game with them.
“Winning a fourth Uganda Cup would be a big achievement for me. It adds to my CV,” Mucureezi stated. “As Kitara, we want to finish the season with at least one trophy.”
The upcoming Uganda Cup final against NEC will be Mucureezi’s sixth appearance in the competition, where he has already secured three victories.
