Vipers Sports Club President, Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa has announced the introduction of Vipers Day, set to take place on Saturday, July 27th, at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

This event aims to join the ranks of similar celebrations such as Simba Day and Young Africans Day, promising to deliver a unique and memorable experience for football fans in Uganda.

Dr. Mulindwa emphasized that Vipers Day will be more than just a fan event, stating, “It will be bigger than anything of the sort that has happened before in Ugandan football.”

The event will feature a lineup of musicians and entertainers with gates opening at noon, with festivities continuing until late into the night.

For an entry fee of UGX 10,000, attendees will enjoy complimentary food and beverages, both soft and hard drinks.

The highlight of the day will be a friendly match against a yet-to-be-confirmed African powerhouse, with the opponent set to be announced by Friday, July 19th.

Additionally, a match featuring Legends of Vipers versus Vipers Fans will also take place.

Moreover, Vipers Day will serve as the platform for unveiling the full squad for the 2024/25 season.

Vipers have a track record of success, including four Uganda Premier League titles, two Uganda Cups, and a runner-up finish in the 2011/12 Super League.
