Uganda Ludo Federation to Host Battle of Champions This Sunday

The Uganda Ludo Federation is set to host the 2024 Battle of Champions this Sunday, August 4, 2024.

This prestigious event, exclusively for the top-seeded players in Uganda, will take place at the Grenkhad Country Gardens in Nansana, a close neighbor to the ULF head office.

The competition will feature top ludo players in the men’s and women’s categories competing in a series of head-to-head matches.

Each match will be crucial as the winners from each round will automatically qualify for the grand finale in October.

In the men’s category, the following matchups will take place:

1. Matovu Huzaifa vs. Kato Charles
2. Mutebi Urther vs. Mubiru Emmanuel
3. Karamagi Moses vs. Mayanja Henry
4. Kato Charles vs. Karamagi Moses
5. Mayanja Henry vs. Mutebi Urther
6. Mubiru Emmanuel vs. Matovu Huzaifa
7. Mubiru Emmanuel vs. Kato Charles
8. Matovu Huzaifa vs. Mayanja Henry
9. Karamagi Moses vs. Mutebi Urther
10. Matovu Huzaifa vs. Karamagi Moses
11. Mubiru Emmanuel vs. Mayanja Henry
12. Mutebi Urther vs. Kato Charles
13. Mutebi Urther vs. Matovu Huzaifa
14. Karamagi Moses vs. Mubiru Emmanuel
15. Mayanja Henry vs. Kato Charles

In the women’s category, the following matchups will take place:

1. Nserko Rose vs. Nagadya Betty
2. Lugolobi Shamim vs. Nambajwe Daisy
3. Nakibowa Joanita vs. Nsamba Jane
4. Nagadya Betty vs. Nsamba Jane
5. Nserko Rose vs. Nambajwe Daisy
6. Lugolobi Shamim vs. Nakibowa Joanita
7. Nsamba Jane vs. Lugolobi Shamim
8. Nakibowa Joanita vs. Nserko Rose
9. Nambajwe Daisy vs. Nagadya Betty
10. Nambajwe Daisy vs. Nsamba Jane
11. Nagadya Betty vs. Nakibowa Joanita
12. Lugolobi Shamim vs. Nserko Rose
13. Nagadya Betty vs. Lugolobi Shamim

The top four players each from this the men’s and women’s categories will represent Uganda at the Africa Ludo Individual Championship (ALIC) in 2025, to be held in Ivory Coast.
