The Human Resource Managers Association of Uganda (HRMAU) has officially launched the 2nd edition of its Annual HR Sports Gala at Motiv in Bugolobi.
This year’s event, which coincides with HRMAU’s 25th anniversary, will be held at the Makerere University Business School’s sports ground under the theme “Competitive Health Choices for Better Work Performance.”
In his remarks, HRMAU President Ronald Bbosa emphasized the significance of the theme, highlighting the impact of health and wellness on enhancing work performance across various sectors.
He noted that the gala aims not only to foster competition but also to promote a healthier and more productive workforce.
Participants in this year’s gala will engage in a diverse range of activities, including football, netball, athletics, team-building exercises, Zumba, and volleyball.
The event promises a day of vibrant sports, entertainment, and valuable networking opportunities for HR professionals from across the country.
Brian Ainebyoona, the Trade Marketing Officer from NBS Sport, the official media partner for the gala said that promoting health and wellness aligns with NBS Sport’s mission to contribute positively to community development and corporate social responsibility.
Other notable sponsors include Centenary Bank, and Jubilee Health Insurance. Their representatives shared their excitement about partnering with HRMAU and emphasized their commitment to promoting better health choices for improved work performance.
In addition to the sports competitions, the gala will feature an all-day blood donation drive.
