Barely a fortnight after joining Al Hilal SC, Benghazi in Libya, Muhammad Shaban is already a champion.
The Uganda Cranes striker and his club were 1-0 victors against Challenge FC to claim the Marshal Championship Cup on Thursday.
Shaban’s Al Hilal will now shift focus to the CAF Confederation Cup where Stanbic Uganda Cup winners Kitara FC await.
He will come up against his countrymen in the first leg of the first round of the preliminaries on Friday, August 16 before the second leg a week later.
After failing to secure a stadium back home, the Royals will play both legs at the Benina Martyrs Stadium in Libya, home to Al Hilal.
The 26-year-old signed a one-year contract with Al Hilal after failing to agree on new contractual terms with UPL giants KCCA.
