Match Day 4 of the NGO League at Kitante Grounds was charged with energy and excitement, fueled further by a special appearance from the Tusker Lite Mt. Rwenzori Marathon team.
The marathon, scheduled for August 24th in Kasese, is fast approaching, and today’s event provided an excellent platform to rally support.
Tusker Lite arrived in style, focusing their efforts on engaging with the old boys of Namilyango College, affectionately known as “Ngonians.”
The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive, as dozens of Ngonians registered for the marathon, with many pledging to participate in the 5km race to show their support. The registration numbers continue to grow, reflecting the widespread enthusiasm for the event.
The NGO League, now in full swing with about 20 teams competing, continues to demonstrate that it’s more than just football. The league fosters a sense of community, making today’s event not just about the matches but about building momentum for the upcoming marathon.
As the big day approaches, it’s becoming clear that the marathon will be a truly global event. With participants from over 23 countries already confirmed, the Tusker Lite Mt.
