Ugandan international forward Rogers Mugisha has had his contract with Danish club AC Horsens mutually terminated just over six months after joining the club.
The decision comes amid a lack of playing time for the 21-year-old.
Mugisha joined AC Horsens in January 2024 from Kenyan giants Gor Mahia on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Despite his previous success with Gor Mahia, where he won the Kenyan Premier League title in 2022/2023, Mugisha struggled to find consistent playing time in Denmark.
“We have a lot of competition for the offensive places in AC Horsens, and there was no prospect of playing time for Rogers Mugisha,” stated AC Horsens’ sporting director, Esben Hansen.
“Therefore, we have decided to part ways on good terms, and we wish him all the best.”
Mugisha’s departure from AC Horsens marks the end of his short stint in Denmark.
Before his move to Europe, he had also represented the Mbarara City Junior Football Team and UPDF in Uganda.
