The Papua New Guinea (PNG) Barramundis cricket team hit the ground running with their first training session at the Lakeside Oval in Entebbe on Tuesday morning.
The team is in Uganda for a four-match ODI series against the Cricket Cranes, which will begin on Wednesday, September 18th.
The Barramundis, who are eager to make a strong impression on their maiden tour of Uganda, utilized the training session to acclimatize to the local conditions and fine-tune their preparations for the upcoming series.
The team’s focus was on batting, bowling, and fielding drills, as they aim to build momentum ahead of their clash with the Cricket Cranes.
Both teams are using this series as a warm-up for upcoming international tournaments.
For the Barramundis, the series will serve as a valuable preparation for their Challenge League A tournament in Kenya.
Meanwhile, the Cricket Cranes are aiming to use this series to fine-tune their preparations for their own Challenge League B tournament, which Uganda will host from November 5th to 16th.
