The Uganda Police Force’s elite athletics team, led by the renowned long-distance runner Joshua Cheptegei were paid a courtesy call from AIGP Dr. Hadija Namutebi, the Director of Welfare, Production, and Sports in the Uganda Police Force.
During her visit to the team’s training camp in Kapchorwa, AIGP Namutebi emphasized the importance of the athletes’ well-being and urged them to maintain their discipline and focus.
She commended the team for their outstanding achievements and expressed her unwavering support on behalf of the Inspector General of Police.
Cheptegei, a world-record holder in the 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter races, has been a key figure in Uganda’s athletics success. His recent victories and world records have brought immense pride to the nation.
