The Smack League is gearing up for a vibrant weekend of sports and community spirit on October 13th.
The seventh match day of season seven will be hosted by the Pirates class of 2012 and the Tsunamis class of 2010 at Legends Grounds.
Twenty-two teams are set to participate in this family-friendly event packed with activities aimed at networking and promoting health.
During a recent press conference, Magero Moses Mwanjje, a board member of the Smack League, underscored the league’s commitment to fostering connections among alumni and their families through soccer. “Our main goal is to network and improve health and fitness,” he stated.
The day will commence with exciting soccer matches at 9 AM, where teams from two competitive pools will vie for glory. However, the excitement doesn’t stop there.
Chairperson Dr. Ronald Amaza highlighted additional activities such as bouncing castles for kids, touch rugby, and even eSports tournaments, ensuring entertainment for all ages.
To add to the celebratory atmosphere, the event will feature live music from renowned artists like Lillian and Nathan. Daniel, a marketing representative, teased surprise performances that attendees won’t want to miss.
Arthur from the management emphasized the league’s dedication to community and mentorship.
“Our mentorship program aims to equip our younger members with valuable insights and experiences,” he explained.
