The Finance Trust Women Super League (FTWSL) continues to set new standards for women’s football in Uganda.
As part of this commitment to excellence, the league has introduced a monthly award for both the Coach and Player of the Month.
Nominees for October 2024:
Coach of the Month
* Ayub Khalifah (Kawempe Muslim)
* Faridah Bulega (Amus College WFC)
* Meddie Nyanzi (Lady Doves)
Player of the Month
* Agnes Nabukenya (Kawempe Muslim)
* Josephine Nambuya (Kawempe Muslim)
* Angel Auki Kigongo (Uganda Martyrs HS Lubaga)
The nominees were selected based on their outstanding performances throughout the month of October.
Ayub Khalifah, Faridah Bulega, and Meddie Nyanzi have all guided their teams to impressive results, showcasing tactical acumen and motivational skills.
On the player’s side, Agnes Nabukenya, Josephine Nambuya, and Angel Auki Kigongo have been instrumental in their respective teams’ success.
Nabukenya’s goal-scoring prowess has been a key factor for Kawempe Muslim, while Nambuya’s solid performances have kept clean sheets.
Kigongo’s impact on the pitch, highlighted by her two Woman of the Match awards, has been undeniable.
The winners of the Coach and Player of the Month awards will be announced later this week. The successful nominees will receive a cash prize of 500,000 Ugandan Shillings.
This initiative aims to recognize and reward exceptional performances, further elevating the standard of women’s football in Uganda.
