Byekwaso on the Hot Seat, Kitara’s New Era Begins Under Bbosa

Matchday Seven of the Uganda Premier League is set to deliver two pivotal fixtures that could define the futures of both Morley Byekwaso at Villa and Wasswa Bbosa at Kitara.

At Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku, Byekwaso finds himself under increasing pressure as the interim head coach of Villa.

The defending champions are currently struggling in 10th place with only eight points from six games, having registered just two victories, alongside two draws and two losses.

Frustration among the club’s faithful is palpable, with some supporters calling for a managerial change.

Byekwaso will need to rally his team to overcome UPDF, who sit just above them in sixth place with nine points and only one loss this season.

Historically, Villa has had the upper hand in recent meetings, winning the last four encounters against the Army side.

However, the mounting pressure means that this match could be crucial for Byekwaso’s future at the helm.

Meanwhile, Kitara will be making a fresh start under the leadership of Wasswa Bbosa, who takes charge for his first game against URA.

After the sacking of Brian Ssenyondo, the Royals find themselves in the relegation zone, positioned 14th with just four points from six matches.

Bbosa’s debut will be challenging, facing a URA side that has also struggled, accumulating only eight points from their six outings.

As both teams navigate these pivotal moments in their campaigns, the stakes are high, and fans will be eagerly anticipating how these matchups unfold.
