A new era has dawned at Kampala Queens Football Club as Ethiopian coach Asefa Firew Hailegebreal takes the reins.
His tenure kicked off with a resounding 2-0 victory over Amus College WFC at home.
The victory comes on the heels of the club’s recent managerial changes. Charles Ayiekoh Lukula’s departure paved the way for Sharon Achieng to step in as interim coach, leading the team to a 2-0 win over Rines.
Asefa’s first match saw goals from Shamusa Najjuma in the 10th minute and Anita Namata in the 43rd minute, securing the three points for Kampala Queens.
With this win, the club now sits on 12 points after six games, trailing league leaders Kawempe Muslim by a single point.
Their next challenge will be against Lady Doves away from home in Masindi.
