Fast5 World Netball Series: Nuba, Kadondi Shine for She Cranes

The She Cranes may have had a tough start at the Fast5 World Netball Series, but their stars continue to shine.

In the opening match against Australia, Cholhok showed her sharpshooting abilities in the goal circle.

Known for her height and precision, Cholhok was dynamic, taking advantage of the Fast5 format’s long-range scoring zones.

Her accuracy from the 2-point and 3-point areas kept Uganda within reach against the world’s top-ranked team, despite the She Cranes’ 44-37 loss to the Diamonds.

Cholhok’s impressive shooting display earned her Player of the Match honors.

Later in the day, during Uganda’s match against England, Falidah Kadondi emerged as a defensive powerhouse.

Kadondi anchored Uganda’s defense with agility and sharp interceptions, consistently putting pressure on England’s shooters.

Her defensive rebounds and ability to disrupt England’s feeds into the circle were crucial in Uganda’s 31-22 victory, the team’s first win of the tournament.

Kadondi’s outstanding effort was recognized with the Player of the Match award.

These recognitions highlight the talent within the She Cranes squad as they continue to build their presence on the global stage.

With these strong individual performances, Uganda’s players have proven they can compete against top-tier netball teams.

Ugandans are eagerly looking forward to more standout plays from Cholhok, Kadondi, and the entire She Cranes squad as the tournament progresses with fixtures on Sunday.

The She Cranes will climax their tournament against South Africa and Jamaica.
