The Kinyara Golf Open has become a staple on Uganda’s sporting calendar, attracting top golfers from across the country. This year’s tournament is no exception, with a diverse field of both amateur and professional players ready to showcase their skills.

National team captain Joseph Cwinya-ai will be looking to make history by winning his fourth consecutive Kinyara Golf Open title.

Cwinya-ai has been in exceptional form recently, and he will be the favorite to retain his crown. However, he will face stiff competition from a talented field that includes several rising stars.

The Kinyara Golf Open offers a variety of exciting prizes for both amateurs and professionals. The top five finishers in the main gross category will share a prize pool of Ug.Shs 4,000,000, while the winner of the professional category will take home Ug.Shs 10,000,000.

In addition to the cash prizes, there are also a number of other exciting prizes up for grabs, including refrigerators, television sets, and cash. One of the most unique prizes is the hole-in-one challenge on the par-3 seventh hole, where the lucky winner will receive a full ton of sugar.

The Kinyara Golf Open is made possible by the generous support of a number of corporate partners, including Sanlam Insurance, ICEA Lion, MUA, UAP Old Mutual Insurance, and Gold Star Insurance. These partners have been instrumental in making the tournament a success over the years.
