FUFA Concludes Fourth Block of CAF A Coaching Module

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has taken a significant step towards elevating the nation’s football standards by concluding the fourth block of the CAF A Coaching Module.

This intensive six-month course, which resumed on November 12th, 2024, has equipped coaches with cutting-edge knowledge and skills.

The module, conducted at Multi Tech Business School, delved into crucial areas such as leadership, management, sports science, medical and nutritional practices, football fitness, and performance tracking.

A unique highlight of the course was the introduction to the Catapult system, a state-of-the-art technology that allows for data-driven training programs.

“We are excited about the integration of technology into football coaching,” said Ali Mwebe, FUFA Football Development Director.

“The Catapult system will revolutionize the way our coaches approach training sessions, enabling them to make data-informed decisions,” he added.

To solidify their learning, participants engaged in practical exercises, including a field visit to KCCA and NEC.

They observed training sessions, interacted with technical and administrative staff, and gained valuable insights into club management and technical leadership.

Furthermore, the coaches had the opportunity to analyze the Uganda vs. South Africa AFCON Qualifier match, applying their newfound knowledge to real-world scenarios.

The final module and examination block for the CAF A coaching course will take place in December.
