Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Football Club defender, Shafik Lugoloobi, has undergone successful surgery at St. Catherine Hospital after sustaining an injury during a training session at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo.
The unfortunate incident occurred over the weekend forcing the player to undergo immediate medical attention.
Both the club and head coach Alex Isabirye have expressed their best wishes for a swift recovery.
However, due to the nature of the injury, Lugoloobi is expected to be sidelined for an extended period.
This setback comes at a crucial time for URA, who are currently seventh in the Uganda Premier League with 14 points after 10 matches.
URA are set to face league leaders NEC at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo on Thursday, December 5th at 7 PM.
