The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially approved Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo as the venue for the upcoming CHAN 2024 Qualifiers between Uganda and Burundi.
The two-legged affair will see Burundi host the first leg on December 26th, 2024, followed by Uganda hosting the return leg at Hamz Stadium on December 29th, 2024. Both matches are scheduled to kick off at 6:00 PM.
To ensure crowd safety and security, CAF has mandated a strict attendance limit of 7,000 fans for each match.
While Uganda has already secured its place as a co-host for the CHAN 2024 Finals alongside Tanzania and Kenya, these qualifiers will serve as crucial preparation for the national team.
Burundi, along with other teams in the CECAFA region, will be vying for the sole remaining slot allocated to the region through the qualifying rounds.
The highly anticipated CHAN 2024 Finals will take place across the three host nations from February 1st to 21st, 2025.
