Renowned Ugandan musician Moses Ssali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, will preside over the draw for the 51st Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64 on Monday, January 6, 2025.
Bebe Cool, a prominent figure in the Ugandan music scene, boasts a deep-rooted connection to football. His father, the esteemed Jaberi Bidandi Ssali, a former politician and football visionary, guided KCC (now KCCA FC) to triumph in their inaugural CECAFA Club Championship 47 years ago.
Bidandi Ssali also served as team manager for the Uganda Cranes during their historic 1978 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals, leaving an indelible mark on Ugandan football history.
Nicknamed “Big Size” in the music industry, Bebe Cool’s passion for football remains evident. As an ambassador for the Uganda Cranes, his love for the sport continues through his son, Alpha Thierry Ssali, a talented winger for Express and a former Uganda Hippos player.
Kitara won the 2024 Uganda Cup edition and will be looking to defend their title this season.
