FUFA Big League side Kigezi HomeBoyz have welcomed Stephen Pritchard as their new Head Coach.
The Scottish tactician, who previously managed the club in the 2018 season, has signed a one-year contract and will immediately oversee the team’s fight against relegation in the FUFA Big League.
Pritchard boasts a diverse coaching background with his resume including stints with Mbale Heroes, Rwenzori Province in the FUFA Drum, and various youth and academy programs.
He also brings valuable experience from his time as a sports coach in the UK and as a referee in the Hull Premier Semi-Professional League.
Kigezi HomeBoyz currently occupies the 11th position in the FUFA Big League, facing the threat of relegation.
Pritchard’s immediate focus will be to steer the team away from the drop zone, beginning with crucial matches against Buhimba UTD Saints and MYDA this week.
“I’m excited to return to this great club and work with a talented squad,” said Pritchard. “We have immediate challenges, but I’m confident we can finish the first round in the top seven and build momentum for UPL promotion in the second round.”
The club has appointed Madoi Aggrey as Pritchard’s assistant coach, with Muhwezi Brian serving as the Fitness Coach and Sunday Barnabas as the Goalkeeping Coach.
The appointment of Pritchard follows the promotion of former Head Coach Tushabe Denis to the role of Technical Director.
