The football final at Booma Ground saw Abaranzi dominate possession, but Abagimu’s defense held firm.

However, Francis Mugisa broke the deadlock in the 27th minute, giving Abaranzi the lead. The second half saw William Nyakojo seal the victory with a stunning long-range effort.

Abaranzi received UGX 2,000,000 in prize money, while Abagimu took home UGX 1,000,000.

Bunyoro Kingdom Prime Minister Andrew Byakutaga emphasized the tournament’s significance in bringing communities together and addressing critical social issues.

He expressed gratitude to MTN Uganda for their continued sponsorship.

Earlier in the day, the MTN Amasaza Bicycle Racing competitions captivated thousands of spectators.

In the men’s category, Kwikiriza Emmanuel emerged victorious, followed by Asiimwe Mark and Atugonza David. Nyandera Sarah claimed the top prize in the women’s category, followed by Friday Evelyn and Nyakabiito Rehema.

Abel Mwesigye, MTN Uganda’s Regional Business Manager for the Western Region, reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting sports in the Bunyoro Kingdom.
