Saudi Arabian clubs are reportedly preparing a record-breaking transfer bid for Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior.
The Brazilian winger has emerged as one of the world’s best young players, and his stock is only rising.
Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal and Al-Ahli are rumored to be interested in signing Vinicius. A transfer fee of €300 million is being floated, which would eclipse the current record of €222 million paid for Neymar in 2017.
Vinicius would also be offered a lucrative contract worth €1 billion over five years. Real Madrid, however, is said to have no intention of selling the 24-year-old.
This potential move would be a major coup for the Saudi Pro League, which has been trying to attract big-name players in recent years.
The arrival of Vinicius would join Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently signed for Al-Nassr, in the league and would further raise the profile of Saudi Arabian football.
However, Real Madrid seems determined to hold onto its star player.
Vinicius is a key part of their plans for the future, and they are likely to offer him a new contract with an improved salary to keep him at the Santiago Bernabeu.
