The Cricket Cranes continued their dominant run in the Hong Kong Tri-Series, securing a commanding 150-run victory over Bahrain in their second match at Wong Nai Chung Gap.
Batting first, Uganda posted an impressive total of 275 runs, with Alpesh Ramjani leading the charge.
The all-rounder smashed 57 off just 37 balls, including four boundaries and four sixes, at a blistering strike rate of 154.05.
Shrideep Mangela anchored the innings with a patient 46 off 83 balls, while Dinesh Nakrani’s quickfire 32 off 15 deliveries helped propel Uganda to a formidable score.
In response, Bahrain struggled to find momentum against Uganda’s disciplined bowling attack.
They were bundled out for just 125 runs in 38.2 overs, with Alpesh Ramjani once again proving instrumental—this time with the ball—claiming 5/15 in 6.2 overs.
His all-round heroics earned him the Player of the Match award. Cosmas Kyewuta also chipped in with three wickets, while veteran Frank Nsubuga took one.
The emphatic win solidifies Uganda’s place at the top of the standings as they prepare for the ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League B tournament starting on February 4th.
With back-to-back victories in the Tri-Series, the Cricket Cranes have gained crucial momentum heading into the main event.
