FUFA President Moses Magogo has announced plans to establish a professional sports institute in Njeru aimed at enhancing football administration and leadership in Uganda.
Speaking at the conclusion of the Football Management and Administration Course II (FAMACO II) in Kisasi, Magogo emphasized the need for continuous training to prepare future football administrators.
The proposed institute will serve as a hub for football education, ensuring that leaders at all levels have the necessary knowledge to manage the sport effectively.
“Football requires experience, and our goal is not to exclude those with experience but to enhance knowledge in the administration of the game. Our dream is to establish a professional sports institute in Njeru, where continuous training will take place to prepare people for future opportunities,” Magogo said.
The announcement aligns with FUFA’s broader efforts to professionalize football governance in Uganda.
The recently concluded FAMACO II course trained 38 participants in key areas such as the FUFA Technical Master Plan, strategic management, and football governance.
The initiative is part of FUFA’s long-term vision to develop competent football administrators across the country.
