Ugandan forward Fazila Ikwaput has expressed her pride in representing the national team and is eager to continue her strong form as the Crested Cranes prepare for their WAFCON Qualifier against Ethiopia.
Ikwaput, who has been in scintillating form in the Indian Women’s League (IWL), is looking to bring that same energy and goal-scoring ability to the international stage.
The prolific striker recently made headlines in the IWL, scoring all four goals in Gokulam Kerala’s impressive 4-1 victory over Sethu FC in Chennai earlier this month.
With 14 goals in just six matches and three hat-tricks to her name this season, Ikwaput’s scoring streak has made her one of the standout players of the competition.
“I am truly honoured to be part of the Crested Cranes squad. It’s always a special feeling to represent my country,” Ikwaput said.
Ikwaput’s form in the IWL has not only earned her accolades but also a reputation as one of Uganda’s most dangerous attacking threats.
Her incredible goal-scoring ability has become a key asset for both her club and national team, and she is determined to help the Crested Cranes achieve success in their WAFCON qualifying campaign.
With Ikwaput in such exceptional form, the Crested Cranes will be looking to her as a key player in their quest for victory against Ethiopia.
The forward’s combination of speed, skill, and clinical finishing could prove crucial as Uganda aims to secure an advantage ahead of the second leg of the qualifiers.
