Chelsea’s rising star Kendry Paez is preparing for a summer loan deal shortly after formally joining the Premier League club.
The Ecuadorian talent, signed from Independiente del Valle in 2023, is scheduled to arrive in London at the end of the 2024-25 season upon turning 18.
Reports suggest Ligue 1 side Strasbourg is likely to secure Paez on loan for the upcoming campaign, alongside fellow Chelsea youngster Mathis Amougou.
This decision comes as Chelsea looks to provide game time for the pair while integrating Brazilian sensation Estevao Willian directly into the first-team setup under Enzo Maresca.
Paez, a highly sought-after prospect, drew interest from clubs like Borussia Dortmund before Chelsea finalized a deal worth €20 million in 2023.
Known for his creativity and technical ability, the 17-year-old has shown immense promise, and his development in Strasbourg will be closely monitored.
Meanwhile, Willian, who turns 18 in April, is set to join Chelsea’s first-team squad this summer and is expected to feature in the inaugural FIFA Club World Cup during their US tour.
