The Bunyoro Zonal Secondary School Sports Association Committee has unveiled the highly anticipated 2025 Bunyoro Zonal Qualifiers, slated to run from April 10th to 13th at Duhaga Secondary School in Hoima City.
With over 30 schools participating across nine districts, the event promises intense competition and an array of sporting disciplines.
Barongo Susen, the committee’s secretary, emphasized the expanded slots for certain districts like Masindi, citing their exceptional performances at the national level.
Kabalega SS, a standout from Masindi, earned nationwide recognition for their top-10 finish in football and 11th place in basketball last year.
Kugonza Fred, Bunyoro Zonal Chairman, reinforced the event’s integrity by issuing a stern warning to games teachers.
“Any manipulation of albums will not be tolerated. Cheating schools will face immediate disqualification and legal consequences,” Fred declared.
The qualifiers are part of the broader journey to Ngora and Bukedea, as schools vie for a coveted spot at the national level.
