Celebrations turned tragic on Tuesday night when an Arsenal fan lost his life in a fatal accident following the club’s emphatic 3-0 victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League champions.
The UEFA Champions League quarter-final match saw Arsenal dismantle the Spanish giants and record 15-time winners, igniting wild celebrations among fans in Jinja City and other parts of the country.
However, at Mafubira Trading Centre along the Jinja-Kamuli Highway, the joy was short-lived.
Witnesses say the unidentified fan, overwhelmed by excitement, jumped on a motorcycle shortly after the final whistle and began riding recklessly while exhibiting dangerous stunts.
