Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has had his luxury Audi RS Q8 seized by police after being suspected of driving without a valid licence.
The Ecuadorian international was stopped near the club’s training ground in Cobham, Surrey, last Friday, with inquiries into the matter currently ongoing.
A Surrey Police spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating: “A man in his 20s from Cobham was stopped by officers on Fairmile Lane and found to be driving without a licence.
The vehicle was seized, and our inquiries are ongoing.”
Chelsea have yet to comment on the issue. If Caicedo is found to have committed an offence, he could face a fine or criminal charges.
Caicedo, 23, moved to England in 2021 after signing with Brighton & Hove Albion from Ecuadorian side Independiente del Valle. In August 2023, Chelsea secured his transfer for an initial £100m, with the deal potentially rising to £115m.
