Wolves Stun Manchester United to Secure Fifth Straight Win

Wolves claimed their fifth consecutive top-flight victory for the first time since 1970 with a stunning 1-0 triumph over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Pablo Sarabia’s sublime 77th-minute free-kick sealed the win, ensuring Wolves’ safety and ending any remaining fears of relegation.

In stark contrast to their thrilling midweek performance against Lyon, Manchester United struggled to find rhythm, marking their 15th league defeat this season—their worst record since 1989-90.

Under Ruben Amorim, United have faltered against several teams at Old Trafford, including Wolves, Crystal Palace, Brighton, Bournemouth, Newcastle, and Nottingham Forest.

Rasmus Hojlund came closest to scoring for the hosts, narrowly missing Alejandro Garnacho’s low cross at the far post. However, Hojlund’s drought continues, with just one goal in his last 28 matches.

While Amorim’s tenure has yet to revive United’s fortunes, Wolves manager Vitor Pereira has orchestrated a remarkable turnaround.

Having spent much of the campaign in a relegation battle, Wolves are now safe with five games remaining and trail United only on goal difference.
