Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou insists his childhood support for Liverpool won’t soften his resolve to prevent them from clinching the Premier League title at Anfield on Sunday.
Liverpool need just a point to secure their 20th championship.
Despite past admiration for the Reds, Postecoglou stated, “I’m a 60-year-old adult, I’ve gone past my boyhood crushes. It’s got no impact whatsoever.”
Arsenal’s recent draw has put Liverpool on the verge of glory.
While Tottenham’s focus is partly on their upcoming Europa League semi-final against Bodo/Glimt, Postecoglou affirmed his team will aim for a result at Anfield.
His own future at Spurs remains uncertain regardless of European success. Sunday’s game is huge for Liverpool, but Tottenham intends to play spoiler.
